Each day, 21,000 children die from preventable diseases. That means every 4.2 seconds, one child dies. In the time you take one breath, a child could take her last.
But we can help save her life. Together, we can help save the lives of 1 million children and their moms in 16 countries.
It takes so little to do so much
$2.35. That’s the average cost for us to care for and/or help save the life of a child. So, we need you, your friends and family to give as many gifts of $2.35 as possible so we can raise $2.35 million by March 31,2012. In January 2012, we will being launching aid programs in 16 counties, focusing on preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS among women and children, treating malnutrition among orphans and refugees and delivering medical aid to those effected by extreme poverty.
Ordinary people, extraordinary results
We can reach so many mothers and children because:
- Our medical volunteers and staff provide quality care and training that help mothers learn how to best care for their children.
- Donated medicines and supplies help stretch the impact of our outreach to mothers and children.
- Our work in community health helps improve water and sanitation for many in remote villages.
One family has pledged $200,000 in matching funds to help raise $400,000 toward the $2.35 million goal. This is one ordinary Christian family called by God to do something extraordinary to help save and change lives.
Here are the posts on this website which describe our work in each of the countries:

Together, we can help save and change the lives of 1 million moms and their children … children like Abdi in Somalia.
